The Waking Dream
Welcome to the waking dream
Perhaps the best you have ever seen.
I am an entity
Both with and without form
Perhaps I am a nonentity.
Now, I can assure you this dream will not misinform,
And you will only be more convinced.
Perhaps free will does exist,
But after this, you might be unconvinced -
Maybe a bit pissed -
That such a thing is even around.
So sit back and enjoy the show
That will reveal to you things you are bound
To know.
Who am I? Why, I am simply a Joker
With the classic Glasgow,
Proficient in poker,
And prefer to drink Bordeaux.
He says.
And before I knew it, I awake on the Seine.
Whether or not he spoke truth
I can only test his words.
Accompanied by the songs of the birds,
I go and journey onwards - guided by my sweet tooth.
I look to the sky and see a shape
It’s own form casting a great shadow over the town
The wings obscuring the midday sun.
It was then that I remembered an old phrase -
Quantus tremor est futurus
Quando Judex est venturus
